In 2010, 15 of the 17 K-State Blue Key members were also formerly 4-H'ers!

I realized that 4-H has meaningfully impacted others just as it has me when I was selected as a Blue Key member my senior year at Kansas State University.

Seventeen members of the entire senior class at K-State are selected as Blue Key members, and when we met for the first time, we realized that 15 of 17 selected were former 4-H members. That spoke volumes to me!

Patron Sponsor Programs

The Foundation values and supports the 4-H awards program for the learning opportunities it provides Kansas youth. 4-H’ers learn the important principles of goal setting, working to reach those goals and recording successes and disappointments. Each step in the goal setting process is a key component to 4-H.

Top 4-H project and scholarship winners earn recognition at the annual Emerald Circle Banquet. The Foundation provides medallions and trip scholarships for winners of the state project awards through gifts made to the Patron Sponsor program. The state 4-H office selects winners based on 4-H'ers project record books and the Kansas Awards Application.
