Rock Springs 4-H Center
With more than 700 acres in Flint Hills, the natural surroundings stimulate reflective thinking and provide an atmosphere for the renewal of relationships, as you enjoy the "Spirit of the Springs."
Rock Springs is a 735-acre, year-round camping and conference center nestled in the scenic Flint Hills near Junction City, Kan. More than 20,000 individuals, representing more than 300 groups, enjoy Rock Springs each year Groups participating at Rock Springs include colleges, state agencies, churches, community organizations, faith-based groups and family reunions.
Rock Springs provides facilities and services in a positive environment for camps, retreats, family reunions, field trips and conferences. The Foundation operates Rock Springs as one of the finest and most economical education conference facilities in the Midwest.
Rock Springs staff includes 25 to 35 year-round full-time and part-time staff. More than 100 summer staff members, primarily students and teachers, serve the peak season at Rock Springs. User fee revenue provides day-to-day maintenance coverage, as well as services of staff and facilities.
Generous donors enable Rock Springs to build, expand and renovate facilities to keep the grounds modern and meet the needs of current groups. Individuals, families and businesses show their support and memories of others with tree plantings, building projects and gifts to the Rock Springs Sustaining Endowment.
